Are you tired of being controlled by your destructive habits?
Are you tired of carrying around old stories and narratives?
Are you ready to make changes that will improve your quality of life?
If you said yes, congratulations but I have to break it to you.... changing your habits, behaviors, and thoughts is easier said than done. And I am sure that’s nothing new for you. Chances are you’ve tried changing your ways in the past and maybe you were successful for a duration of time, but then something happened, you got busy, lost motivation, or forgot so you returned to your usual ways. You blew it off though, acting like it wasn’t that important to you anyway.... telling yourself that you rather deal with the consequences and pain instead of completely cutting the ties and venturing down a new road of unknown territory.
Yup, keep reading....
Let’s face it. It’s exhausting and hard to change, especially without the support and correct environment. It can feel impossible. The temptations are there, the peer pressure is there, the same triggers are there.... and you have this lingering story in your mind saying that you can’t do it. You’re not strong enough. You’re not good enough. So you don’t trust yourself to completely change and move on.
It’s getting real....
But just imagine you could.... just imagine a life where those old habits, patterns, thoughts, cycles, and behaviors didn’t exist anymore. Imagine waking up and not being controlled or triggered by it and having all of that energy and space to live your damn life as you desire.
Just imagine what it would be like to have the courage and strength to say no to toxic habits (binge eating, drinking, smoking, screen time/scrolling, casual sex, gambling, etc) or change the limiting beliefs (I’m not good enough, I don’t deserve that, I’ll never get that, I will always be like this, I have a problem).
And imagine the confidence you would have from being able to walk away from things that don’t serve you... things that make you feel like sh*t, guilty, ashamed, frustrated, bitter, sad, and uncomfortable. Imagine NOT having those emotional roller coasters because you are in control of your impulses and can effectively manage your reactions....
I know! It sounds so amazing..... and it is.
Great, but one last thought…
This four step method can be applied and repeated to any habit you want to change. I recommend starting small with something manageable to strengthen the skills for self-control and discipline as well as momentum for progress. Start with something simple that you can “master” before jumping into one of those major life changes (after all, I’m all for slow and steady progress for lasting change and it’s an effective strategy).
So, what do you say? Let’s do it.
